Manager of Operations
New Bedford, MA
$55,000 - $70,000
About the role
C2S Energy is a fast-growing energy efficiency contractor running programs across Massachusetts — Mass Save, HVAC, insulation, HERS ratings, and more. As our Office Operations Manager, you'll be the operational backbone that keeps everything moving: the person field crews, project managers, and leadership all rely on to connect the dots, clear roadblocks, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
This isn't a traditional management role — it's a force multiplier position. You'll own the day-to-day infrastructure that makes everyone else more effective. If you're the kind of person who sees a gap and closes it before anyone notices, this role was built for you.
What you'll do
Own the office infrastructure — facilities, vendor relationships, and scheduling — so the team always has what they need to operate
Serve as the central communications hub and program contact point — connecting field teams, project managers, permitting, and billing across all of our programs
Monitor project and permit workflows across the company, flag bottlenecks early, and keep leadership informed about what's moving and what's stuck
Maintain dashboards and tracking systems that give the whole company real-time visibility into project status
Coordinate hand-offs between departments — sales to project management, project management to billing — so nothing gets lost between teams
Support permitting and compliance workflows across municipalities, tracking status, deadlines, and documentation
Help staff troubleshoot technical issues and get the most out of office systems and tools, including monday.com
Spot process gaps before they become problems and bring solutions, not just observations, to leadership
What we're looking for
3+ years in an office operations or office manager role
A natural connector who keeps people aligned without needing to be asked
Strong organizational instincts — you're the person who notices when something is slipping before anyone else does
Comfortable managing competing priorities and communicating across teams with very different functions
Proficient with project management tools (monday.com a strong plus) and standard office software
Clear, proactive communicator — you default to over-communicating, not under
Experience in construction, energy, or field-services is a bonus, not a requirement — but you should be comfortable in a fast-paced, blue-collar environment
Why C2S
Meaningful work in the clean energy sector — what we do matters
A growing company where you'll have real ownership over how operations are built and scaled
A collaborative, no-ego team where your contributions are visible from day one
Direct access to leadership and a real seat at the table when it comes to how the company runs
